Daeira was abandoned by her parents at age seven when she was stepped on by a wizard, the wizard, a completely mad name by the name of Nathan found her, and despite being an utter sociopath he didn't hurt her. She grew up hiding in his hair, witnessing a world of fear and death and torture.
Nathan was arrested, and from his prison cell he urged her to fly away, because she never did anything wrong. She did, but had nowhere to go, so lived in the rafters of pubs and stole people's food and drink, she became alcohol dependent.
Eventually someone caught her, and put her in a jar as a nightlight for their young son, the boy took great pleasure in heating the bottom of the jar or shaking it around because she wasn't bright.
One day he dropped the jar and it shattered, and Daeira left, but not before using a shard of her shattered prison to puncture his corritoid artery and leaving him to bleed to death under a sleeping charm.
Affiliated NPCs:
Her family.
Sample:
Daeira was laying on the piping lining the roof of the Leaky cauldron. She had a wooden tankard in one hand and a happy smile on her face. She had intended to stop drinking after the dead-boy capture but the blood, washing her off his convulsing body haunted her. His brown eyes glaring as he lit a fire under her little jar haunted her. Nathan's eyes as he demanded she leave. The faces of the people he hurt.
But Nathan had saved her, he wasn't a completely bad person was he? He couldn't be all bad, unless she was bad too. Bad and rotten, the rotten fairy like her family and flock had told her. Daeira licked her lips and yawned. This pipe was for hot water, so it was lovey and warm and her head was fuzzy enough now so she didn't really care what she, or anyone else did in the past. The little fairy went to sleep, hidden away in the roof.
